  1. It should be noted that the Sacramento Bee contacts this writer from time to time, asking for interesting folks to write about. Norman, with the publishing of this piece, joins a murderer (the youngest person to enter San Quentin, and exit in one piece, this in the 1890's), a museum director, an anthropolgist that enables California Indians to establish casinos, a model train repair Doctor, and others of worthy note.
