I have a piece of 1880 rail made by G.H. Hutte. Was that used on the CPRR or even used in the USA?

The examples that we know about of rail used on the CPRR are to be found in the California Iron from the G. J. "Chris" Graves Collection Exhibit. That collection is now located at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. Rail made by G.H. Hutte is not listed in that collection, but there is a report of testing of G.H. Hutte rail in a U.S. Government Report.
