We found a Southern Pacific stove which we installed in our 1882 combine, SP 1010. Based on casting numbers and other markings, we guess it is pre 1900.
I have seen TWO caboose stoves with the SPRR Logo cast into the metal, but never a stove with the CPRR logo. Chuck Sweet would know the answer to this one, if anyone would!
IT was nice talking with you at the V.& T. doings........As to the S.P.Co. stove your stove in the #1010 is the same model cast iron stove. I found this S.P. STOVE in Jackson, Ca. on the way back from Carson City.
