Date of Travellers Guide

When I looked at the timetable on this link it says 1876. Is the guide really 1878?

Yes, the 1876 timetable information was printed in the October, 1878 guidebook. Apparently they took their time about updating some of the information, or perhaps it had not changed. The San Jose Branch shows 9/8/1878, so there is no reason to think that the guide book has been incorrectly dated.
