Interactive Mapping of US Railroad Attractions

From: "cynthia jett" cindyjett@hotmail.com

I just want to let railroad enthusiasts know about a new website which maps railroad attractions across the US. Relevant information is given for each location. The site is MapMuse.com.

Lots of other interests (everything from Civil War battles to wineries to hotels) can be mapped as well. Take a look at our site, and let us know what you think (suggestions are very welcome).

Subject: ... Amtrak added

I just wanted to let you know, that as a follow up to yesterday's email, and in response to visitors' suggestions, MapMuse has added Amtrak stations to our maps. Enhanced information, including services available at each station, is provided.
In the near future, we will be adding commuter rail lines, and active scenic/historic railroads. ...

Thanks again, and keep the suggestions coming!

... The idea is for railroad enthusiasts to build upon what we have started by adding railroad attractions that we have missed, and editing and enhancing information that is already there. Through this kind of community effort, we hope to have the most comprehensive, descriptive, and up to date maps to help people find railroad attractions at home and on their travels. We would appreciate if you would participate in the process, by checking if your local railroad attractions are mapped, enhancing information as you see fit, and adding places that we have missed. This is simple to do.

To add a railroad attraction, go to the Railroad Attractions map, click on "Know any railroad attractions we are missing?," fill out the form, click submit and your information will be posted within a few hours.

To edit information about a railroad attraction that is already mapped, click on the icon associated with the railroad attraction. An information box will pop up, click the edit link, fill out the form, click submit and the changes will appear within a few hours. ...
