Track spirit level

I have 2 standard gauge track spirit levels identical to the one shown on your website. How old are they? How rare? Where can I obtain an appraisal?

I believe the date to be in the 1860-1870 area. I don't know how rare. (Chris Graves or Lynn Farrar might have a better idea.) I bought it on eBay for about $60-$75, but don't remember exactly how much.

I got my spirit level from an antique store in Folsom, it was $50 or so, I see them from time to time, in various gauges. Not rare. BUT, if that puppy was marked CPRR of CAL., well, then it would have some collector value.

I can't speak about the specific level illustrated, but that general design was produced and used well into the 20th century.
