We have two very nice upcoming private rail tours.
March 16-18, 2007, Friday – Sunday, "The Shamrock Special", St. Louis to Chicago for the tremendous St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Watch the Chicago River turn green and enjoy an expansive parade with bagpipers and drummers. Round trip fares from St. Louis are only $399 per passenger, double occupancy in double bedroom. Single occupancy of a double bedroom is $699 per passenger. Suites (two double bedrooms ensuited) for two passengers are also available at $699 per person.
April 10 – 15 "The Cherry Blossom Special", Chicago to Washington, DC.
Different route eastbound and westbound.
Eastbound passengers will enjoy viewing the New River Gorge, also known as the "Grand Canyon of the East".
Westbound they will enjoy the historic Harper’s Ferry area.
Passengers will have 2-1/2 days in Washington to visit the Smithsonian Museums, the US Mint, the War Memorials and monuments to presidents Washington, Lincoln and Roosevelt. Also Arlington Cemetery and the Kennedy Gravesite. Tours to Jefferson’s Monticello and Colonial Williamsburg are also available.

October 19-23, The Kansas City Rocket, Chicago, St. Louis to Kansas City roundtrip to attend the American Association of Private Rail Car Owners Convention. Includes Harvey House luncheon and tour of BNSF’s passenger car shops. You won’t want to miss either one. Fare estimated at $1,799 per person, double occupancy. There will also be a convention fee covering the side trips, two car parties, a banquet and more.
We will also probably do a tour to Niagara Falls from Chicago. Details to follow.
Fares subject to change without notice/
We have requests in to Amtrak and freight railroads for other tours to be announced.
We also offer group charters: If you have a group of 13-20, we could offer you a tour tailored especially for your group. The cost would be about $1,999 per person, double occupancy, for a 6-7 day tour. It would include one or more off train tours, all meals enroute, a full array of beverages in the afternoon and evenings and private bedrooms with attached enclosed bathroom.
