Architect Oliver Greene Traphagen (1854–1932)
I came across this article about an architect [Oliver Greene Traphagen (1854–1932)] I am particularly interested in and it mentions building a large CPRR office building in Oakland. Do you have any more information on this or photographs of the building?

The CPRR was not constructing buildings in the twentieth century. The Central Pacific Railroad became a part of the Southern Pacific System in 1885 under a lease to the Southern Pacific Company, so we'll assume the question is about the Southern Pacific. There was a new Southern Pacific building c. 1916-1917, but it was in San Francisco. Don't know if architect Oliver G. Traphagen was involved. One article says that: " [Oliver G. Traphagen] moved to San Francisco after the 1906 earthquake and fire, but designed only one building there before retiring." Don't know if there was another Southern Pacific building constructed in Oakland at the time.
Hi,
I founded the Oakland History group on Facebook with 46,000 members where you can probably get your answer and photos. This is a great place to post historical questions.
