Telegraph Insulators
Have you seen the web site on telegraph insulators, including patent dates and numbers?
Note several rams-horn insulators included in the 1860s.

Thanks for the note. Chuck Sweet in Utah has several of these, I have only the CPRR ramshorn in the yardarm, and the old one in the block of wood. chris
