Lynnewood Pullman car 4714
Dear Sir,
Would you have by any chance, any interesting information about the Pullman car 4714, the LYNNEWOOD, built in 1917 for Joseph Early Widener of Phidadelphia?
We do now own this very interesting piece of railway patrimonia. We are actually in it's restoration process. It will become a tourist attraction for Amqui's visitors and citizens.
We are looking for everything that you could have or know about this Pullman personnal business railway car.
Thanks a lot for the attention and follow up that you would give to my present request.

Nice looking car. For starters, I would contact Ted Anderson (tedander@core.com), archivist for the Pullman drawing and document collection at the Illinois Railway Museum. They may have drawings and specifications. Provide him with the lot #4514 and plan #3343
Two institutions have most of the Pullman builder's photos of cars: the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC; and the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento.
The California State Railroad Museum Library has a photo of the car (likely an interior view, at a guess). Their catalog provides the following information on the car, including negative number.
Car Type Corporate Name Lot # Car Name or # Date of Image Plan # View Negative # Notes
Private Widener 4514 Lynnewood 1918 [3343] Ex 23436 DK
The Smithsonian Institution may have additional photos of the car – usually there was a whole series taken originally.

Thanks a lot for your quick attention to my personnal request concerning the Pullman car 4714 of late Joseph Early Widener, the LYNNEWOOD.
... All information you would be able to find about the LYNNEWOOD would be very precious for us. Could it be anywhere, where we could find pictures and or press documents showing Joseph Early Widener aboard or near by the LYNNEWOOD with or without important invited guests?
Thanks a lot for your precious help!
