Michigan 3-cylinder shay model
From: jeffreyallanh@optusnet.com.au
I have a Michigan 3-cylinder shay model exclusively for Pacific Fast Mail but I am unable to find any information on this model. Could you help or put me onto someone who can?

PFM brought in a number of different brass Shay models over the years. A photo might help us identify which one you have.

It's a HO gauge.

Well that is amusing. Hadn't looked closely at one of those before. It looks like their standard B-2 Shay (built in variants throughout the 1960s and 70s – maybe even into the 80s). They usually came with straight (actually tapered) stacks. This one is fitted with a nice wood burning diamond stack – and a fuel oil tank in the tender. What a combination.
It is a good heavy 2-truck class B Shay – say 55 or 60 tons with an extended wagontop boiler from around 1910 or so. The trick seems to be finding a Shay of that type that has the steam pipe connected directly to the steam dome on an EXTENDED wagontop boiler (there are plenty such with the standard wagontop boilers).
