Re: Virginiatown tracks still intact

On our property in the Gold Hill area the winter rains have cut into the south bank of Auburn Ravine and exposed about 20 feet of parallel tracks with some ties still in place. They run N-S and presumably would have crossed the stream bed when originally installed. Perhaps it dates back to the early days of the railroad in the area from Wise Road to Virginiatown a few miles east of Lincoln. Does anyone down there want to come out and investigate? We are just 1/10th of a mile west of the Gold Hill historical marker.

Curious?
